Social Ministry & Outreach

Throughout the Gospel, Jesus tells us to: "Love God and Love One Another".  He also teaches that we must be servants.

Service to those in need is an integral mission of the church. At St. Joan of Arc we have a number of ministries and service to those in need.  We are constantly seeking support from our parishioners to helps us in these efforts and to identify creative ways to support our community.

In addition, as Catholics we are called to remain informed about civil actions and social issues that affect all people, especially the vulnerable.  We encourage all of our parishioners to remain informed about these actions and the Catholic Church's position on a variety of social justice issues.

At St. Joan of Arc we want to keep our parishioners informed of social issues and Catholic social teachings that effect our Church, our society and our lives.  In coordination with other ministries, we will continue to keep parishioners informed on these many issues.

If you are interested in Catholic ministry teachings and issues, or want to assist our parish in these areas, please contact Deacon Ray Van Pelt at:

Our Social Ministry Committee meets quarterly.  Our purpose is to coordinated social ministry activities, events and identify priorities and resource requirements for these efforts.  Download the SJA Social Ministry Guidelines and Implementation:  Sja Social Ministry Aug 1 2019.
