As one of 3,000 certified Monarch Way Stations in the United States, the students at St. Joan of Arc School are helping to save the monarch butterfly population, which has declined by more than 99% over the past 40 years and is currently on the endangered species list.

Students will plant various plants in the garden including the much needed milkweed plant which the monarch caterpillar needs in order to survive.
